You might remember that every year, we make the trek up the hill to a fancy, schmancy place to cut down our Christmas tree...it is something that I really look forward to. You know...the whole "creating family memories" kind of thing..."family bonding" kind of thing...etc., etc., etc. Well this year, we weren't able to go up the weekend after Thanksgiving and due to all the rain that next week, E wasn't too keen on traipsing around the hills in the mud looking for a tree....while toting a 35-ish pound kid. So we stayed a little closer to home...and compromised on the kind of tree to get...and ended up at a tree farm about 10-15 minutes from our house.
It was a nice adventure - although a cold one. I knew it was cold out but didn't really prepare us very well for HOW cold it really was. We were all freezing...and being pregnant, I really don't have a warm coat that still fits. So we made quick work of picking out a tree and off we went!
Ryan's favorite part of the WHOLE adventure was stepping on the stumps and jumping off. Every.single.one.that.we.found. It was actually pretty cute.
Here we are getting started
