My First Slumber Party

Ryan and I were so excited that cousins Caitlin and Kylie were going to come up (with their mom) to visit and spend the night. Ryan was on super-overdrive all day. They had a blast playing with Ryan's toys...playing with cars and trucks, cooking in his kitchen, playing with puzzles and blocks, and just generally enjoying each other's company.

We had dinner and then headed out to look at Christmas lights - hoping to take advantage of that last bit of energy so that they'd hopefully conk out and get a good night's sleep. Here are a few pictures of the girls and Ryan in their sleeping bags on the floor of Ryan's room. It's story time and then in theory, bed time.

Sadly, Ryan was TOO excited to actually sleep at his slumber party and was the key factor in the mean mommy going upstairs to holler at them to lay down and go to sleep. It only quieted down when we moved Ryan's bed back to his frame...which enabled him to fall asleep almost instantly.

We had a fun morning the next day - complete with some outside play: scooters, bikes, and cars. We had a GREAT time with the girls and I'm pretty sure they had a great time too.
