The Circus!!!

We took Ryan to his very first Circus last week - actually, it was September 11th. :) When I bought the tickets last month, I thought it was a great idea...and then after a few days, I started second-guessing myself. I mean who in their right mind takes a 19 month old toddler to the circus and expects them to sit in their seat? Luckily, my fears were unfounded - Ryan LOVED the circus!

On the opening night of the circus, they allow you to come early and check out the animals (horses, elephants, etc) and then you get to go down onto the floor of the circus and meet the performers. There were clowns, acrobats, men on stilts, etc. Ryan was enamoured with all the action.

Once the show actually started, we took turns taking him for walks when he got restless in his seat. He was pretty captivated by all the songs, lights, and noise. There were only a few parts that he could have done without: the trapeze artists, the tiger show, and any of the other "less stimulating" acts. His favorite of the night was the one with all the dirtbikes. Heck, that was probably all of our favorites! The things they can do with those bikes! Amazing!

All-in-all, we had a great time! Ryan was super tired after all the excitement but he really had a fun time!
